Future Plus - chiller and freezer cabinets

Future Plus is the top of the range model with low energy consumption. Energy consumption is 20% lower than many competitors. Air intake at the bottom of the cabinet ensures the coolest air is fed to the condenser through a filter ensuring lower energy consumption.

Simple to operate and easy to use with clear digital control panel and hygienic surfaces. ‘Future’ cabinet are high quality and suitable for all food storage requirements. Three temperature ranges are produced, chillers for general provisions, medium temperature for fresh meat of fish and freezer for all types of frozen foods including hard ice cream.

Manufactured and tested to climate class 5 ensures the cabinets will operate in ambient temperatures up to +43°C. (Excludes glass door models which are manufactured and tested to climate class 4 and can operate inambient temperature of +32°C).

All refrigerants used within the ‘Future’  range are CFC and HCFC free and the cabinets are designed and tested to international standard ISO 8561. Porkka also manufacture to ISO 9001 quality standard and ISO 14001 environmental certification both verified by Lloyds. Every care has been taken to ensure all our cabinets meet all the requirements of the European Unions food legislation.


The latest in technical innovation

Our cassette refrigeration unit is top mounted and incorporates the evaporator out side of the cabinet body, increasing the overall storage space. Both freezer and medium temperature cabinets are now fitted with energy saving, automatic, fast efficient hot gas defrost systems. New low energy condenser and evaporator fan motors also assist in reducing running costs as well as improving performance. Evaporator fan motors are stopped automatically when the door is to improve performance and cooling effect.

 

The advanced filter construction of Future Plus cabinets

The Future Plus cabinets has been designed with a special bottom mounted air intake, which is fitted with an easy to clean filter, which channels the coolest air available to the condenser at the top of the cabinet. In various tests it was found that the temperature difference between floor and roof height can be up to 7°C cooler thus reducing running costs.
This type of construction not only reduces energy usage but lengthens the lifetime of the cooling unit by reducing operating hours, as the warmer it becomes the longer the equipment has to run. The filter also assists in reducing electrical consumption by keeping the condenser clean and operating more efficiently increasing the cabinet’s life cycle impact on the environment.
Cleaning the filter can not be easier, just pull out the tray remove filter, wash and replace and if you forget the built in alarm will remind you if the filter becomes blocked.
 

HACCP temperature monitoring at the push of a button

Food handling monitoring as required by the EU and national HACCP requirements including accurate temperature storage records, has brought new challenges for all professionals serving food to the public. Porkka as an optional extra can supply an ‘XWEB’ system, which is an independent monitoring and alarm control system, in real time and is the ideal answer to meeting legal requirements. All necessary information for the authorities are held in the system and are easy to retrieve at any time, you can even adjust the cabinet temperature using the ‘XWEB’ by remote control.
 

Memory stick recording

A memory stick based temperature recording system is available for Porkka cold equipment. The unit, attached in the front panel of the cold equipment and equipped with its own digital display, real time clock and calendar, records the temperature data. With recording intervals of 15 minutes, there will be room for about one year’s data on the memory stick. Naturally, the recording interval can be adjusted according to the needs. Depending on the length of the recording intervals it will take no more than 15 seconds to transfer the data to the memory stick. As soon as the data has been recorded on the memory stick, the stick will be connected to the USB port of the computer and all the information can be seen on the display. The numerical data is easy to work up with Excel software.
 A 24 hours battery back-up is available as an accessory.

Long lasting durable materials

Future Plus cabinets can be supplied with visible surfaces made from stainless steel which is grade AISI 304. There is an optional exterior finish of white polyester coated sheet steel when required. The bottom of the base and the rear exterior back plate are supplied in corrosion resistant galvanised steel sheet. Combi cabinets and RIC roll-in cabinets are only produced with stainless steel finish both internally and externally.
 

Micro processor controller
• The control unit is fitted with an easy to read digital temperature display.
• Temperature can be changed at the push of a button.
• Humidity can be changed at the push of a button.
• The controller is fitted with a built in high/low temperature alarm, the timing of the alarm can be adjusted to suit your requirements.
• Alarm signal is both audible and visual.
• The alarm signal can also be sent to a building monitoring system by means of a volt free connection.
• The optional XWEB system can be supplied to continuously monitor temperature and alarm status.
 

Blocked condenser alarm
• One of the main reasons for increased running costs and eventual breakdown is a blocked or dirty condenser.
• Porkka ‘Future’ cabinets are fitted with blocked condenser alarm which alerts the operator to clean the condenser
  when appropriate.
 

Lock
• Solid door cabinets are fitted with a lock situated in the middle of the upper panel as standard.
 

Shelving
• Each cabinet is supplied with durable wire coated steel shelves with an option to select super strong, stainless steel
  panel shelves.
• Anti-tilt shelf runners are fitted to allow shelves to be pulled out for access to product at the rear of the shelf without
  tipping up and stock falling out.
• The whole shelving system including pilasters can be removed by hand for easy all round cleaning.
 

Handles and doors
• The formed rounded edge of the door acts as the handle. This is easy to keep clean and reduces possible dirt traps.
• Doors are fitted with heavy duty sprung loaded hinges allowing the door to stay open at 90° but self closing below
  this point.
• Durable magnetic gaskets are supplied which are easy to change by simply pulling out and pushing in a new one if
  required.

• The inner base of the cabinet forms a basin with rounded corners to catch spillages and making them easy to clean.
• Interior corners are also rounded to avoid possible dirt traps and to facilitate all round sanitising.
